Greetings from our CEO
Welcome to the website for Chester Community Charter School (CCCS), a kindergarten through eighth grade public charter school that has served the Chester-Upland School District for more than 15 years. In that time, CCCS has grown from an enrollment of 97 students to over 3,000. This growth, and the community enthusiasm that has propelled it, stands as a testament to the great work our educators and administrators are doing to transform the educational landscape in this community.
I believe that educating our children is the most important responsibility that society faces. I consider the task of leading CCCS to be my most important responsibility in life. My goal each day is to ensure that we are holding true to our mission of “Empowering Students as Learners.”
For many of our children, obtaining a solid education is the only “ticket” to success. As an urban school leader, I recognize and embrace the unique challenges that we face at CCCS with the knowledge that there is no greater reward to any educator than seeing a child overcome adversity and achieve those things that were once considered unachievable. We are so deeply heartened to see our graduates attend some of the best high schools in the area and know our team played a role in the students’ successes.
As the CEO of CCCS, I promise to challenge our staff and students, demand rigor in our curriculum, and continue to maintain high expectations for our students’ educational outcomes. Furthermore, I promise to work hard to establish meaningful relationships with parents and with the community organizations that can help our students succeed.
The future for our students at Chester Community Charter School is indeed very promising. Academic success in elementary and middle school is our goal for each and every student, each and every day, each and every moment.
