i-Ready Parent Workshop: Online Educational Programs Parents can Access from Home

Posted Wednesday, October 14, 2015

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, parents attended the first i-Ready parent workshop at Innovation Hall, where parents learned all about online educational programs they can access at home. Here's a recap of the event, as well as a list of online educational resources and games parents can use!

At the start of the event, parents were treated to an assortment of pastries, fruit, and juice. Since it was a small group, each parent had access to a laptop so they could see firsthand which programs their children use in the classroom, and find out how to access it themselves at home!

Some of the online programs, such as i-Ready Reading and i-Ready Math, require a subscription. You can contact your child's teacher for the username and password for these programs.

Parents also learned how to access free educational online games. CCCSLions.com, where you'll find educational online games, is a fun and educational website designed by CCCS staff. Best of all, it's a trusted, safe place for all students to go online.

Below you'll find a list of programs and online games you can access from home. If you need the username or password for any of the sites, or if you would like to know which subject you child needs the most extra help in, don't hesitate to contact your child's teacher!

Thank you to the parents who came to the workshop, and we hope to see more friendly faces next month!
