Students Get Pumped to Take the PSSA at Pep Rally

All three campuses held pep rallies to get scholars excited to take the PSSAs, which began the week of April 3.

“East B do it up, East B do it up” was the theme for Curiosity Hall’s PSSA Pep Rally.

Principal Timika Mills and Child Accounting specialist Chavon Sanchez got the students revved up to do their best on the PSSA. Prizes were awarded to the students who had perfect attendance and highest scores in First in Math.

The Lions Cheerleaders led the students in cheers and Leo the Lion came to visit the students. Curiosity Hall Student Council made posters about important things to do to help scholars succeed. Groups of students were chosen to create PSSA fashions for their teachers.

The final activity was teachers and students joining together to dance to “East B do it up,” sung to the tune of Uptown Funk.

Imagination Hall’s pep rally included dances, musical performances, comedy acts, and a special presentation from West C scholars and Reverend Dr. Rocky Brown, who developed a drill team to help students manage their anger.

Knowledge Hall’s pep rally included student performances, a “Family-Feud”-style game show to review the subjects, and a teacher pie-eating contest.
