Teaching Assistant

Chester Community Charter School has immediate openings for Teacher Assistants in grades K-6. This position works under the supervision of the classroom teacher to assist with student learning &. monitor behavior. Position works a traditional school calendar. A minimum of an Associates Degree is required (pref. in Educ. or Early Child. Ed), & the ability to provide a clear Criminal Records & Child Abuse Clearances. Prior exp. working with young children is preferred. Rates are hourly and vary based on experience.

Chester Community Charter School has openings for classroom Grade Tutors with a Bachelor's degree. The tutors will support the work of the teacher through activities such as tutoring in the classroom and assisting the students with special projects. The tutors will also help to strengthen students’ skills in math and language arts by working in small groups or one-on-one in the classrooms.
