Tutors in the Classroom
Tutors in the Classroom is an initiative to hire degreed, full-time tutors, who will work with teachers and students providing assistance in literacy and numeracy, grades 3 - 8. Tutors will support the work of the teacher and assist students with special projects. The tutors will help strengthen students’ skills in math and language arts by working with students in small groups or one-on-one sessions. Tutors support teachers in tracking student progress and assist in differentiated instruction to ensure student growth. The CCCS tutors are offered the same professional development opportunities afforded to the full-time teaching staff.
