Chester Community Charter School (CCCS) has proudly partnered with Chester-born record producer and songwriter Jahlil Beats to implement Jahlil Beats Academy (JBA), a school focused on building scholars’ technological and business skillsets with the goal of preparing scholars for the ever-changing technology of a 21st century society.

The Jahlil Beats Academy (JBA) puts emphasis on computer science, entrepreneurship, and critical thinking, as well as other modern subjects like 3D printing, virtual reality and music production.

Does the school day start to late for you? Or end to early? Never fear.....Before and Aftercare is here! 

CCCS offers a before school program that beings at 7:00am and an after school program that goes until 6:00pm. This program is designed to assist our parents busy schedules, while offering fun-educational based activities for our scholars in the morning and late afternoons!

 It is designed to assist the most academically prepared students to learn at an accelerated pace. Students work in peer groups with other gifted students, which improves the overall quality of their learning. The program is a collaborative effort involving parents, administration, and classroom and special area teachers. A wide variety of enrichment resources - such as theme-based research labs, classroom libraries, science labs, math software, manipulatives, laptop computers, and Nooks - are available to the students.

CCCS is happy to announce that the Hollis-Jefferson Foundation is partnering with our three Nita M. Lowery 21^st Century Community Learning Center Programs to provide additional, exciting learning opportunities for the after school program students.

The Hollis-Jefferson Foundation activities include:

• CHAP Coding Program - Students learn computer programing concepts, game design and building applications. The goal is to teach students the fundamentals of computer programing, coding and new ways to think and bring new ideas to life.
• CHAP Mindfulness & Wellness Program - Students learn strategies and techniques that cultivate emotion and attention regulation skills. Students develop a solid foundation to effectively engage in both social-emotional and academic learning. The program teaches mediation and critical thinking skills that build mental toughness and resilience, self-awareness, and impulse control.
• CHAP E-Sports - Students have the opportunity to participate and excel in E-sports, and participate in the E-sports arena of competition. Not only are E-sports fun, but they are also a great way to develop self-discipline, build self-esteem, leadership, respect, teamwork, improve hand-eye coordination, and much more.

CCCS scholars are able to receive transportation from the district of residency. This ensures that our in-district and out-of-district students are able to get busing to and from school. 

Jahlil Beats Academy features lessons on music production using studio-grade equipment, sometimes taught by renowned guest instructors.

With over 25 years of experience in the music industry, Beats is intent on training the next generation of music industry executives. Through extensive partnerships with key players across the music industry landscape, JBA scholars are able to work alongside some of the top executives, artists, and influencers.
